Keep your website fresh throughout the season

Keeping your website up to date can be difficult when the season is in full-swing, but your website should never be forgotten.  After all, it’s the first place that current and future members go to!

It’s good to keep in mind that valuable information can flow through to your website from other areas of your site.  This means you create consistent fresh content without the need to manually update your site.

Things like fixtures and results, statistics and videos can all be set up to automatically populate on your website.

Here are some simple ideas and tips to make sure that your website continues to be relevant and engaging for your members and end users.

MAKE FIXTURES AND RESULTS YOUR FOCUS!
Fixtures, results and ladders are by far the most popular aspect of any sports website. So don't hide them! Make them very clear and easy to find on your webpage, and try to keep them on the left hand side of the menu structure.

STATS AMAZING
Statistics from your competitions can now be displayed via the right hand column of your website.  This is a great way to engage your members on your website while keeping your content up to date.

USE YOUR WIDGETS
Widgets are a great way to provide quick and accessible information on every page of your website. You can use widgets to advertise your major sponsors, promote your social media or direct traffic to your YouTube channel. Widgets are an excellent way to liven up the right hand column on your site, but be careful not to overload your site with widgets. A long and drawn out right hand column will detract from the other content on your site, and be less engaging for viewers.

GET YOUR VIDEOS UP!
If your have a YouTube channel, you will be able to display your videos on the right hand side column of your website.  To see effective this looks, check our the NSW Touch Football Website.
