Competition Management enhancements to the FFA network


FOX SPORTS PULSE has released a number of Competition Management enhancements to the FFA network.

These enhancements affect the following areas of the FFA Competition Management network:
- Creating a Competition
- Pre Game Screen of Online Results Entry
- Post Game Screen of Online Results Entry
- Appointment Screen in Schedula
- Layout of the Fixtures, Results, Ladder and Match Centre Screens for all Websites in the FFA Network




Each enhancement is outlined in further details below:

Setting the Starting Team Limit
When creating a new Competition or editing an existing Competition, you will now be able to set a Starting Team Limit by entering the "Max number of starting players" and choose whether to enforce this limit by selecting the checkbox "Use Starting Players Limit?"

Define the Starting Team and Team Captain (Pre Game)

- When in the Pre Game Screen, users will be able to define the Starting Team by selecting the checkbox next to each Players name under the column "Starting"
- Next to each player there is also a radio button to indicate who the Captain is
- There is also a drop down option to select a players position including Goalkeeper (existing functionality)
- This information will display in the Match Centre on the Website for this match - defining the Starting Team as well as indicating the Captain (C) and Goalkeeper (GK)

Select Team Officials and Publish Details to Match Centre (Pre Game)

- When in the Pre Game Screen, users will be able to select form a list of registered Team Officials and assign a Team Official to a particular role.
- By selecting the "Public Visible?" checkbox next to an Appointment role, this information will display in the Match Centre on the Website for this match below the Starting Team.

Post Game Results Entry

- Users will notice a more significant change to the way results and player stats are entered which can now be completed all in the same Post Game screen of Online Result Entry

Entering Goals:
- Users can add a Half Time and/or Full Time Score as normal for each team, as well as Scores After Extra Time (AET) if required
- Below each Team Score stat, there is the ability to "Add Scorer" which will provide a list of players selected for the Team from Pre-Game (including Players from the opposition Team to enter an Own Goal if required)
- Users will be able to define the Type of Goal (Normal, Penalty or Own Goal)
- Users will be able to add the time (minute + injury time) the Goal was scored
- This information will display in the Match Centre on the Website for this match


Entering Yellow/Red Cards:
- Users can add Yellow and/or Red Card Stats as normal for each Team
- Below each Team Yellow/Red Card stat, there is the ability to "Add Recipient" which will provide a list of players selected for the Team from Pre-Game
- Users will be able to add the time (minute + injury time) the Yellow/Red Card was received
- This information will display in the Match Centre on the Website for this match


Entering Substitution Details:
- Users will be able to add substitution details by clicking "Add Substitutions"
- For each Substitution users will be able to add the time (minute + injury time) the Substitution occurred
- Users will be able to select which Player is coming Off and On from the list of players selected for the Team from Pre-Game
- This information will display in the Match Centre on the Website for this match


Entering Penalty Shoot Out Score:
- For matches that go to a Penalty Shoot-out, users will be able to record the Penalty Shoot Out details
- For each Penalty, there is the ability to indicate if the Penalty was a Goal or Miss and select which Player took the penalty from the list of players selected for the Team from Pre-Game

Entering Other Stats:
- Entering other Team Stats in the Post Game Screen remains the same

Feed Match Officials from Schedula to Websites

- This feature is only available to users of Schedula
- This allows users to define which Match Official Appointments will display in the Match Centre on the Website for a particular match

Layout of the Fixtures, Results, Ladder and Match Centre Screens for all Websites in the FFA Network

- Users will notice a change to the layout of the Fixtures, Results Ladder and Match Centre Screens
- These screens will appear in a wider display format and will optimise based on the screen size or device a user is viewing this data
- Website Editors will be able to change the Layout via "Other Configuration" > "Results Display Format" - view this support article for more information
- The Match Centre will include additional details for Squad Lists, Team Official Details, Match Official Details, Team Match Stats (including time of Goals, Yellow/Red Cards & Substitutions) that have been captured as part of the Post Game Results Entry
